Korean Spicy Fried Tofu (dubu-jourim)

Hello beauties, today I want to introduce a special lunchbox. This lunch is not made by the little veggie Korean (me), it’s made by my mum with love and care ๐ŸŒธ My mum has been seriously ill for few weeks. Our family felt very helpless. For the first time I thought about my life without her. But I couldn’t even imagine that. She is a typical Korean mum who sacrifices all her life for her family. She gives everything she has to us and feels sorry that she can’t give more than that. When she was very ill, she was still worried about us. But she’s the strongest woman I’ve ever met and finally and thankfully she is getting better. She is now being able to eat and walk again ๐Ÿ™ And the first thing she did for me when she felt better was that making some food for our family. We all are very forgetful to appreciate for the loving-kindness, supports and care people surrounding us have given to us. The now and the present moment is the best time for us to say thanks to your loved ones for being there for us, giving many supports and lovely smiles ๐ŸŒป๐Ÿ™

Ingredient ๐Ÿฅ•

2 packs of Firm tofu
3 tbsp soy sauce
2 tbsp Korean chilli powder
1 tsp crushed garlic
1/2 tsp minced ginger
2 tbsp lick sliced into very small pieces
1 tbsp roasted sesame oil
1 tsp roasted sesame seed
1 tbsp brown sugar
1/2 cup water

How to Cook ๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€๐Ÿ‘ง

  • With clean towel remove the water of tofu
  • Cut the tofu 1 cm thick size evenly
  • in the pen, add olive oil and when the pen is heated enough, start to fry the tofu until both sides change to light golden brown colour.
  • Meanwhile, put the other ingredients into a bowl and mix them well
  • When the the tofu is ready, place into a pot and pour the sauce on top of tofu with a spoon mindfully so that all the tofu can enjoy the sauce shower.
  • Shimmer them for 7 minutes in low heat.
  • Enjoy the spicy and tasty Korean fried tofu and appreciate your loved ones who are always there for you ๐ŸŒธ
